OH NO! NOT THE MASCOT

During the timeouts in the N.B.A games it is the mascots job to entertain the crowd and keep them pumped up for their home team. Not just during the timeouts, but during the games as well. Many mascots in the N.B.A are very athletic, but not all athletic people are perfect, everyone messes up at least once, including mascots.
There is nothing more entertaining then a mascot failing at a stunt that is supposed to hype the crowed. When a mascot fails at a stunt, it weakens the crowed due to strong laughter from the fans watching. Now the mascot is becomes the comedy for the night. Sometimes a mascot may do something funny on purpose, but a fan can always tell what was done on purpose and what was done accidentally. Some mascot bloopers may come from failed dunks, funny dancing, or even fights with other mascots that can be pretty entertaining.
In the video below, there a lot of clips containing some of the best bloopers of mascots in the N.B.A.

"Just Not Right"

Those basketball pictures are "just not right". During N.B.A games, not only do the game itself receive a lot of media attention but the players receive attention as well. During basketball games is where the best pictures and posters are taken and made. Taking a picture is not a very difficult job to do, its taking the picture at the right moment. It is hard to catch a player at the right moment when there is so much movement going on. Sometimes the picture that was taken is not the picture that the photographer wanted, or it maybe the opposite, it may be the exact picture they wanted.
When a photographer takes a funny picture, sometimes they are funny and may come off as the players in the photo being violent and or homophobic. When a fan views the pictures that were taken accidentally they are funny to them, but how do the players feel about these pictures. Who cares, it is all about the fans. We like fun and jokes.
Aside from the photographers making a mistake and taking the wrong picture, some players actually do things purposely to make their fans laugh and show that they do have a sense of humor. Below is a video of pictures that is "just not right".

Lets Dance

When it comes to sports, things can become pretty serious for the fans and for the players. When the fans of a particular N.B.A team is watching a heated game between a rival team things can become a little hectic. Same thing goes for the players while they are competing in a game. Why should there be so much animosity in the game that is supposed to be fun. There must be something that the players and fans do to keep them in a good mood and not always on the edge of their seats. Wait, there is, lets dance.
Often before a game, players love to have a good time to remember at the end of the day basketball is just a game for fun. When watching a pre game show, you would see a lot of dancing from the players to lighten up the mood. Recently, the most popular team in the N.B.A, the Miami Heat, did the Harlem Shake, a dance that became popular over the net, to show that they too can have fun. Then their is All-Star weekend when you see a lot of players set aside their competitive attitudes to have some fun with the rest of the players, and most of that fun consist of dancing and practical jokes. Most of the time you see a fan dancing is when he or she is on camera.
Below is a video of N.B.A players dancing around and just having a little fun. In the video you will see some of the best players in the league such as Lebron James, Dwight Howard, and many more. Enjoy.

The "Greatest" Dunkers

The most exciting moment in basketball is to see a player dunk. Nothing gets a fan out of their seats quicker than a dunk. Rather you are at the game live, or watching the game on television, you want to see your favorite player dunk. Finally your favorite player gets the ball on a fast brake, your on the tip of your seat, and just before you jump up to celebrate he ruins the dunk and instead of you cheering him on now the crowd is laughing.
When a player misses a regular dunk, it is not that funny because sometimes the ball hits the rim the wrong way. The point is, not every missed dunk is funny. The missed dunks that are funny are when a player tries to show off and do a special dunk and blows it horribly.Another instance is when a player has a cocky attitude and he he goes and blow a dunk. It is also funny when there is a seven footer and he misses a dunk on and ten foot hoop.
Here below is a video that shows exactly what I just described. There are players in the video that tries to show off and messes up horribly. The others in the video are just plain stupid. The funny part about the video is that the people who are trying to dunk rally think that they can pull it off. This video contains people getting hurt and if you do not like to see these type of clips then the video should not be watched, but if you do like to see painful bloopers, enjoy.

FIGHT!

O.k, basketball can become violent when a fight is broken out. One maybe wondering how and why is their fighting in basketball. Well, let me break it down. Obviously there are a lot of fouls in basketball, some harder then others. When a player is fouled very hard on accident then the player being fouled may understand and control their anger. Contrary to a foul being committed accidentally, when a hard foul is committed on purpose, then that is when anger is uncontrollable and then a fight may break out. That is not the only instance when a fight breaks out. When a referee makes a bad call, players become angry. While the player is furious due to a bad referee call, it is the coaches and the team to calm the player or players down, but when everyone is angry, there goes trouble.

Taunting may also bother a players emotion on the basketball court. There has been many instances when players fought or almost fought due to opposing players taunting. It kinda gets under your skin when you get embarrassed, but when a player teases you for it at the end then it becomes bad for both of the guys.

The video below displays some fights that broke off in the N.B.A for the exact reasons I mentioned above. In the mix is some old school N.B.A fights and some new ones. There is also some violent language in the song which is playing, so viewer discretion is advised.

Clash of The Players

How is everyone doing? There has been a while since my last post but we are back with more basketball bloopers. This week I would like to switch it up, instead of focusing on one individuals bloopers, I am going to focus on many.
We all have that moment when we just so happend to run into someone. Well in basketball it seems to happen more often that any other sports. Picture this; a player is coming down the court on a fast-break and does a monstrous dunk, then just as he turns around to celebrate, WHAM!, he runs into someone behind him. That moment will be funny for you but very embarrassing and painful for them. There are actually some players in the N.B.A that does this very often. Mostly centers. The best time this happens is when a guard crosses over two defenders and they clash into each other. You can never become tired at laughing at theses clumsy accidents, because laughing at someone else's minor pains never gets old. Check out the video at the bottom of a mix of bloopers full of players running into each other. Oh, and remember, with pain comes great pleasure, ... for the fans.

Wide Open!

That moment when you think a player is on a fast-break and you think that they are going to put on a show and they miss a wide open shot. Instantly the arena is full of laughter, not only from the opposing teams but from their teammates as well. It is very funny for everyone else, but extremely embarrassing for that player. I would hate to be in that position. This rarely happens to pros, but it sneaks up on them sometime, you never know when the floor is slippery or you are going to be distracted by some irritating fan. But when it does happen in the N.B.A, to the bench they go. Free throws are a perfect example. It is o.k to miss a free throw in basketball, but when a player air balls a free throw then that is a different story. Check out these hilarious clips of when wide open goes wrong.

Not Again Bosh!

When it comes to bloopers in the N.B.A, there are a lot done on accident, and some are actually done on purpose, but there is one individual player who happens to do funny things purposely, but some are accidental, and that player is Chris Bosh. Chris Bosh is indeed a unique player in the N.B.A. He is one of the top forward/center in the world, averaging 19 points per game and 9 rebounds, which is pretty good for a loaded Miami Heat team. But aside all of the greatness he brings to the game of basketball, he still finds his way in the mist of comedy. A lot of people view Chris Bosh as gay due to his actions and the way he jokes around. I do not believe that Bosh is gay, but his actions are skeptical. Sometimes the camera man catches him in the wrong place at the wrong time. Other than that he is constantly entertaining fans with his funny faces and jokes he plays on the camera man. Check out this hilarious video of Bosh.

Mr Blooper JaVale McGee

Many words can describe JaVale McGee's playing style of basketball. One of those words that may describe him the best is clumsy. He is one of the clumsiest players in the N.B.A (National Basketball Association). No matter how great of a player McGee is, he is constantly entertaining fans and teammates with his goofy actions. He is the Paris Hilton of the N.B.A. What makes matters worse is the simple fact that he is a seven foot player, so his playing style looks sloppy. When you watch him play one may wonder what he is thinking. He has recent actions where he tries to dunk from the free throw line twice in a single game and missed both times. Another instance is when he tries to be macho man a slaps the ball all the way out of bounds. If that is not enough goofiness for you, then watch the rest of his clumsy plays at the link below.
